8it is the simplest way to find the best food. We started this app in 2019 to solve our personal pain point and got great response from the community. 8it curates dish recommendations and has a network of hidden gem hunters that curate certifiably dope dishes that need to be eaten!

We are currently evolving 8it to be community first and leveraging Web3 primitives. This Edible NFT hunt is just the beginning.

We’ve partnered with amazing restaurants and projects to add a web3 twist to eating during NFT NYC! All you need to do you is eat amazing food and collect Edible NFTs. These NFTs will then be redeemable for amazing prizes (and also unlock additional opportunities as the 8it ecosystem expands).

8it believes the traditional ad-supported restaurant review model is broken. It often exploits the restaurant - who usually operate on paper thin margins already - and does not stay true to what’s most important - the food. Web3 has opened up new ways to embrace the ownership economy and create new business models. A model that doesn’t gouge the restaurant; provides value to the curator and supporters of the restaurant while solving a pain point for eaters.

Eat Food at NFT NYC! Use the 8it app to find out Edible NFT enabled dishes and spots under the ‘NFT NYC’ category. Eat dope food and claim your free Edible NFT. Redeem for dope prizes after!

Simply press the ‘Dig In’ button from the 8it App, click on ‘Claim NFT’. Follow Instructions to claim.

At some restaurants, you will find a special poster that you can ‘tap’ and claim your NFT by following the instructions.

At most places however, you will simply take a photo of the dish and submit it with your wallet/email and restaurant name.

You do not need to have a mobile wallet to claim. There will be an option to claim the NFT on desktop later.

Every Edible NFT you collect will have points associated with it. The more points you have, the more rewards you can claim.

After the hunt is over, you will be able to connect to a site to claim any rewards that you are eligible. We will communicate more about the redemption mechanism as we get closer to the Hunt.

All we can say is that the Edible NFT and 8it team is very excited to scale this concept beyond NFT NYC over time.

EdibleNFTs will be minted on Polygon. You will need a Ethereum based wallet (Metamask, Coinbase etc. ) to participate.
