Hera x Solo Diner
Bushwick // 2.4 & 2.5

Hera by Chef Jay Rodriguez, winner of 8it’s 2023 Tastiest Tasting Menu award, is starting a new series hosting guest chefs. The first edition of Hera & Friends will feature Solo Diner, a Filipino-American pop-up by three Oxalis alumni. The menu features a mushroom sisig taco, rice cake with blood sauce, tuna with grilled coconut, cabbage with bone marrow, a soup with pumpkin, cod and caramelized guava and more. Don’t even try to say this menu is anything like a dinner you had last week. We’re off to a strong start. Find all the info in the 💥 Pop-ups category on the 8it app.

Action Bronson x Fini
Williamsburg // 2.3 & 2.4

Is it an ice cream sundae? A granola bowl? Action Bronson wouldn’t dare be so predictable. For his special with Fini this week, they’re dropping a fried sesame bagel struffoli with whipped ricotta, honey, lemon and sea salt. It’s like Action decided to throw a state fair in the middle of Winter on Bedford Avenue. Find all the info in the 🧨 Drops category on the 8it app.

Lloyd’s Carrot Cake x Sweet Chick
Sweet Chick locations // Thru March

Lloyd’s Carrot Cake and Sweet Chick are collabing to give a side of veggies a whole new meaning. Through the end of March at all Sweet Chick locations, they’ll be slinging their signature fried chicken with carrot cake pancakes AND waffles. Carrot cake bits are mixed in to the pancake and waffle batters, then topped with cream cheese frosting, candied walnuts, orange zest and powdered sugar. The humble carrot has never been so indulgent. Find all the info in the 🧨 Drops category on the 8it app.

Ling Kee Lunar New Year BLT
Lower East Side // Thru 2.10

📸: @partybusbakeshop

One of the Lower East Side’s best kept secrets is a Malaysian jerky shop on Canal Street called Ling Kee that slings the most umami-packed snacks in the five boroughs. To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Partybus Bakeshop had the ingenius idea of throwing their Malaysian pork jerky on a BLT, a collab we hope will stick 🤞 But for now, you have until the 10th of February, so run to get your hands on this umami bomb before it’s exploded in everyone else’s mouth but yours. Find all the info in the 🧨 Drops category on the 8it app.

Chef’s Dinner Series - Lana Lagomarsini
Little Italy // 2.9

Chef Lana Lagomarsini will be throwing down for Chef’s Dinner Series highlighting black rising stars in the culinary world next Friday. The menu will feature a 4-course tasting menu of African-American heritage cuisine including an oxtail & plantain terrine, pimento cheese arancini, smoked oyster, stuffed rabbit loin, pecan pie pot de creme and more.
